Space Biology is the aerospace study of how the many complex biological processes from Earth behave in space. The conditions in space can disrupt many of the processes making extended space travel both difficult and dangerous. The field of Space Biology explores the mechanisms that alter life in space and potential ways to mitigate problems encountered.
