Investigating the Center of the Galaxy Using Wave Properties

This lesson helps students develop an understanding of reflection, absorption, and transmission and apply that understanding to describe how scientists are developing a 3-dimensional model of the center of the Milky Way galaxy. This lesson should take approximately one 50-minute class period and is designed to be used in a middle school science course.
