How To: Quantifying DNA
This method video takes us into the lab to teach us the step-by-step process of determining how much DNA is in a sample using a nanodrop spectrophotometer. This video covers (1) cleaning the nanodrop spectrophotometer with DNase-free water, (2) blanking the spectrophotometer with the elution buffer, (3) loading and measuring the samples, (4) cleaning the spectrophotometer for the next person to use, and (5) analyzing the data. NOTE: Follow your specific lab's procedure for cleaning instruments.
