Mental Health First Aid: Bridging the Gap Between Rural Communities and Access to Care

With a lack of resources and understanding, many people in rural Texas do not know where to turn. Dr Lakshmi Mahadevan at Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is providing Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to aise awareness, increase mental health literacy, and teach communities how to come together to address opioid misuse and mental health issues.
