Cut and Paste: Explaining RNA Splicing

Proteins are the building blocks of our bodies, including our cells and organs. Do you know how proteins are made? In order to make protein, the gibberish portions of RNA are removed to create a coherent message. This is called RNA splicing and it is responsible for the creation of the wide array of proteins we produce from a limited set of genes.
