Gel Electrophoresis of ACE Gene

In this simulation, you will learn how to perform gel electrophoresis and determine individual genotypes from a portion of the human ACE gene amplified by PCR. Gel electrophoresis is the process by which fragments of DNA in a sample are separated by size. For gel electrophoresis and other molecular biology laboratory protocols, check out the Jackson Laboratory Teaching the Genome Generation™ curriculum. This scrollable also forms part of The Jackson Laboratory Teaching the Genome Generation: Human Genetic Variation Virtual Lab curriculum.
