Lucy, Exploring Jupiter’s Trojan Asteroids

NASA’s Lucy mission, launched in 2021, is the first spacecraft to explore Jupiter’s Trojan asteroids—ancient remnants of the early Solar System. By studying these primordial bodies between 2027 and 2033, Lucy aims to reveal insights into planetary formation, Solar System evolution, and the origins of organic materials that seeded life on Earth.
