Hydrogen and Chlorine Reaction
In this demonstration, hydrogen and chlorine react explosively to form hydrogen chloride. The reaction is started by shining a small ultraviolet LED onto the test tube. The cork at the end of the tube is propelled approximately 20 meters across the lecture hall!
