Unknown Era: The First Galaxies

The earliest galaxies are so far away in space and time that they have been difficult to observe until now. The James Webb Space Telescope will detect previously unseen infrared light from the first galaxies, and provide insight into the forces that shape the universe we find ourselves in today.
