Skeleton

The skeleton is divided into two major components: the axial skeleton and the appendicular skeleton. The axial skeleton comprises the skull, vertebral column, and rib cage, forming the central axis of the body and providing support and protection for vital organs. The appendicular skeleton consists of the bones of the upper and lower limbs, as well as the pectoral and pelvic girdles, enabling movement, locomotion, and the attachment of muscles to facilitate various activities.
