Why do different populations—whether categorized on the basis of race, ethnicity, or class—have different health outcomes? This pathway will introduce you to the concept of “health disparities” and explore which populations are more likely to suffer from health disparities and why. You will also examine how unequal access to positive social and environmental determinants of health can result in health disparities, and how we can seek to address these inequalities.
