Cell Structure

Cells are the basic building blocks of life, composed of a cell membrane, nucleus, DNA, organelles (such as mitochondria), and cytoplasm. The cell membrane regulates the flow of substances, the nucleus contains the genetic material (DNA), and organelles fulfill specialized functions. Mitochondria generate energy, and the cytoplasm provides structural support for the organelles.
